Pre-meeting Q&A about Accelerated Math:
How can my future 6th grader accelerate in math at WSMS?
answer: The process must begin in elementary school.
Where can I find more information about accelerated math?
answer: Follow this link to PPS TAG webpage w/info. pertaining to acceleration application process.
What might qualify a candidate to be considered for application/testing?
answer: many considerations:
qualified candidate “exceeds grade level expectations” at the target grade level…this means, in considering a current 5th grader…are math skills “exceeding” (report card score exceeding) at 6th grade level right now?
does candidate request/seek out more difficult/rigorous math problems?
maturity level considered
behavior considered
social-emotional considered
