On Tuesday, May 27th, Max and Georgia had the exciting opportunity to meet Governor Ayotte! During their visit, the Governor recognized Clean Water Week and congratulated both students on receiving honorable mentions in the statewide poster contest. Way to go, Max and Georgia!
Senior Walk
We hosted graduating Seniors from Coe-Brown and Dover for one final walk through the halls of Nottingham School. Congratulations and good luck to all of our graduating seniors!
Girls On The Run
The girls completed the GOTR 5k in the rain at the Speedway in Loudon. They also raised $400 during their lemonade stand, to be split between Marys’s Dogs and The Rockingham County Nursing Home. I can personally attest that the lemonade was cold and delicious!
Washington DC Trip
Our 7th & 8th graders had a great time in Washington DC connecting their curriculum to real life experiences!
6th Grade
Our 6th graders enjoyed their time at Merrowvista! They learned to work as a team and enjoyed lots of bonding experiences!
Annual K/8 Buddy Tie-Dye Event
The K/8 Buddies had a wonderful time on Tuesday, June 3rd as they tie-dyed shirts together. The 8th graders were amazing role models in helping our Kindergarten ( almost 1st grade class!) make beautiful designs. These buddies have developed a friendship throughout the year that contributes positively to our Knights Community. Way to go K.N.I.G.H.T.S!
5th Grade News
"Write a poem about something you like, and make it take the shape of that thing," said the teacher. "Sure!" said the students.
8th Grade Field Trip
Here are pictures from their end of year trip to Canobie Lake Park!
7th & 8th Grade Project
Sixth through eighth grade students participated in the SeaPerch build this week. This is a program organized through UNH and the Naval Shipyard where volunteers come into the school to help groups of students build their own underwater rovers. Students were tasked with cutting pipes, soldering their own circuit boards for their remotes, wiring their motors, and assembling their rovers. On Thursday, the Nottingham Fire Department brought and filled a portable tank for students to test their rovers in. Thank you Nottingham Fire, UNH and the Naval Shipyard!
Art Class
Here are some of the latest projects from Art!
Learning Opportunities
Recently students participated in a Nature's Walk with Tree Identification with Greg Jordan, a local forester who works with UNH Cooperative. Jen Davidson, an athletic trainer, also came in to run a short strength and flexibility course.
