All students in 10th grade had the opportunity to engage with a self-discovery tool called YouScience. You can learn more about YouScience here. Students who still need to finish the brain games, or those who want to access their results can log on:

EXPLORE

It's tough to be what you can't see, so 100+ Tartan students participated in off-site and in-house career exploration events. Another five students prepared for and engaged in informational interviews. Check it out!

Build my Future (careers in the trades)

Fifty Tartan and North students spent a day in the construction industry through a hands-on interactive showcase in Glenwood City, WI. Students engaged in activities provided by industry partners including educational displays, equipment operations and learning labs.

Career Connect Day (all pathways)

More than 100 Tartan and North 10th grade students attended the Career Connect Day at St. Paul's River Center. Our students were able to learn about careers in the following pathways:

  • Business, Management & Administration
  • Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources
  • Arts, Communications & Information Systems
  • Engineering, Manufacturing & Technology
  • Health Science Technology
  • Human Services

Xcel Energy in-house event (careers in energy & sustainability)

Mr. Miller's Environmental Biology students spent time with the Xcel Energy team to learn about 'human-centered design,' which is a problem-solving technique that puts real people at the center of the developmental process. They practiced this process with our presenters and also learned a bit about careers in sustainability and energy.
