Principal's Kōrero
Kia ora everyone
Unbelievable! We’re racing towards the end of the school year with just over two weeks of school left. This final stretch is packed with exciting events, including end-of-year prize-givings, the Year 8 farewell ceremony, and class outings.
I want to extend a huge congratulations to all our students and staff for the incredible success of our recent production. It was truly inspiring to witness our students’ confidence soar as they performed in front of such a large audience. A massive thank you to all the staff who dedicated countless extra hours to make this production a reality. Your hard work and dedication were invaluable.
A special congratulations to our staff members who have recently achieved full teacher registration or completed additional study. Your commitment to professional development is an inspiration to us all.
As we approach the end of the year, we’ve noticed a recent increase in COVID-19 cases, often starting with stomach symptoms. Please remain vigilant and encourage your child to stay home if they are unwell.
A quick reminder: Teachers are hard at work finalising class lists for next year. If your child is not in Year 8 and will not be returning in 2025, or if you have a preschooler starting next year who hasn’t yet enrolled, please let us know as soon as possible. This information will help us ensure balanced class sizes for the upcoming year.
Let’s make these final weeks of the school year a memorable one.
Nga mihi

Intermediate Camp Fundraiser
We would love your donations at our bake sale if you love to bake! Donations can be dropped off at the office on Monday, 2 December, at school. The bake sale will be held at the front gate on Monday afternoon from 2.30 to 3.300pm. Paper plates should have come home with the eldest child in each family this afternoon.
With the increased cost of living for everyone, the funds raised from the bake sale will go towards the year 7 and 8 camps in 2025. We would love the whole school's input with the donation of baked goods. One day, we will all have students attending these camps, and any financial help is always appreciated.
It's all about the families helping families, and we have a great family community at Inglewood Primary School.
To win a fabulous custom cake - Tickets can be purchased at the bake sale on Monday afternoon or at the school office (correct cash only).

The board is now inviting applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at Inglewood Primary School starting within Term 1 2025.
