Welcome to Norwex!
Now What???
Welcome to the wonderful world of Norwex & to Team Clean & Save! Congratulations on starting your own business! I know it can be overwhelming, especially at first, but I’m here to help you every step of the way. Here are some tips to get your started!
Your starter kit should arrive within a week after you signed up & it will have a lot more information to answer questions you probably have. In addition to all the fun products & business supplies, it’s full of helpful information to help you get started, but in the meantime, definitely familiarize yourself with the website’s “back office” (there are lots of trainings & resources you can check out at your own pace & you can sign up for several new consultant webinars here, too). I’m here to help you get started, so be sure to let me know what questions you can’t find answers to. Our big sister team, Team Freedom, has weekly trainings & monthly meetings that I highly recommend—if you miss them, try to check out the recordings or Facebook events as soon as you can, because they are super helpful!
About Me
I’m J.C., the team leader for Team Clean & Save. I signed up with Norwex in September 2015 & really love spreading the Norwex love with others & getting to know lots of amazing women over this past year. I’m an occupational therapist by training, but I’m mostly a stay at home mom to my 3 kiddos (10, 7, & 3 years old). I’m also an Army wife, so we move regularly & I love that I won’t have to start all over with Norwex whenever we move. My oldest is slightly immune-compromised, so we’ve always had to be germ-conscious & clean a lot (our house might be “clean,” but it’s still super cluttered, so I’m no model “cleaning lady!”). I’ve always hated using the heavy duty cleaners we thought we needed to use & especially having our family exposed to all the toxins, but I never knew another way around that. So when I was invited to a friend’s Norwex Facebook party & did some research about Norwex, I finally realized there were safer options, & ones that could save us lots of time & money, too. Norwex was a life changer for our family because it allowed us to keep our place clean in a much safer way, & I knew I wanted to help others create safe havens in their homes as well. As your team leader, my goal is to help you succeed in your business—pointing you to resources, coaching you as a business owner, & giving you encouragement & pep talks when you need them (yes, we all need them every now & then!).
Fresh START Program
This is an amazing program for all new consultants, so be sure to check out this flyer. You can earn more than $500 in products just for working your business & for hitting the sales steps in your first 15, 30, & 60 days! And you can get some amazing bags (one I don’t even have & will be super jealous when you get it!) for recruiting. Be sure to mark the due dates on your calendar now so you’ll remember when you’ll want to hit the steps by so you can get all the incentives. This is an optional program, but it's a fabulous way to get even more FREE Norwex, so I highly recommend it!

Steps for Reaching Your Goals
Launching Your Business
If you haven’t made a FRANKI list yet, do that now, so you’ll have an idea of who you’ll want to invite to your launch parties (where you will essentially debut your business & get it off & running). Here’s a great video to explain what a FRANKI list is & why it’s important.
Pick two launch party dates & start inviting your friends & family. It’s great to have more than one launch party since often times not everyone can make it on the same date. And you can also have one on Facebook to get people involved who aren’t in your town or can’t come to your in home parties for whatever reason. If you do the standard starter kit, you’ll have pretty much everything you’ll need to do your first party (& if you chose the upgrade kit, you will have all of the top 10 products to demo!). I want to encourage you to plan for at least 5 parties in your first 45 days—this will really get you off to a great start! And you can even act as hostess & consultant, so not only will you be earning a 35% commission off all sales, you’ll also be earning all of the hostess rewards, too!!!
This video is long, but it is a GREAT tutorial from a senior leader about entering orders & maximizing your rewards--take notes! :-)
Norwex History & Mission
Norwex has an amazing history & mission, so it’s always great to learn more about your new company to share with others (for example, did you know Norwex stands for “NORWegian EXperience”?!?). Check this out to learn more about Norwex.
Check out the Products
This is the fun part--try out your products & see how well they work in your own home! Check out the Facebook group for our big sister team, Team Freedom, to learn from the wealth of knowledge of our team members. This is a great place to ask questions that you can’t get answers to or if I can’t help you with them. Everyone’s great at sharing their expertise, from awesomely creative images to answering bizarre questions customers might have about products to use for different cleaning situations. Team Freedom also has a website with lots of resources & trainings, too (ask me for the password!). I highly recommend checking out the New Consultant tab for trainings that will help you start your business off well. Please be mindful of sharing this information, as it is meant for our team only.
Consultant Connection is a very large Facebook consultant group—there are a lot of opinions & information here, too. Use this group wisely & don’t get overwhelmed!
Check out the catalog so you can familiarize yourself with it. The product information sheets that come with your starter kit are also AMAZING for explaining about all the many products we have, with demo tips to help get you going.
Your starter kit will also have Party Cards that are great for using as “cue cards” for your parties until you feel more comfortable sharing Norwex with others, so don’t feel like you need to have everything memorized & have all the answers (none of us do, so that’s why it’s so great to be a part of Team Freedom—there are TONS of resources available to us that many consultants don’t have!). Practice product demos with your friends & family. It helps you become comfortable talking about Norwex!
Social Media
While it’s not 100% necessary, Facebook is an amazing way to create a public presence for your business. A lot of us do Facebook parties, & having business pages allow us to have a catalog for customers/party guests to check out. To create a business page, be sure it is titled “FIRST NAME, LAST NAME – Norwex Independent Sales Consultant.” You can check out mine & model it after mine if you’d like (I can give you other examples from our Team Freedom teammates you can use as guides, too). And having a private Facebook VIP group is nice to have as well, so you can build relationships with customers--I like to mention ideas for product uses, official Norwex sales/specials (we can only mention our own sales/specials to our customers in private!), & do several giveaways & other fun posts. I can fill you in on how to create a private group later, so just let me know when you want to learn more about that. Here’s my group if you want to join & take a look at it. Feel free to copy what I post in my business page & group, but be sure to change the wording to make it fit your personality & so Facebook doesn’t flag us both as spam & block our accounts (super important!).
Make a Connection
Tell all your friends & family about your new business! Use social media to get the word out. You can get a huge discount through Vistaprint when you sign up & I recommend creating business cards (they even have Norwex-created cards that are super easy to just add your info to!)—hand those out liberally!
Write out your Power Statements—this will help you figure out your WHY, & this motivation will help keep you going. There are lots of trainings on the Team Freedom website to help you figure out your why.
Feel free to learn from other consultants, especially the ones from Team Freedom & Team Clean & Save. But always make sure to be yourself. As much as possible, try to keep organized—save all your receipts for tax purposes, create a work environment for yourself, & come up with a good system that works for YOU!
I am so happy to have you on our team! I know there’s a lot to learn, but know we all started somewhere & you will do amazing things with your business! :-)
