Principal's Message
Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable December break. As we begin 2025, it's a great time to reset and refocus, both for ourselves and for our children as they return to school. We understand that the transition back to routine after time off can be challenging, so we encourage you to work with your child to ease them back into their school schedule.
With the colder weather now here, we also recommend adjusting morning routines to ensure everyone stays warm and gets to school on time. This might mean setting alarms a little earlier or laying out clothes the night before to avoid any morning rush. A smooth start to the day helps set the tone for a positive and productive school experience.

Attendance
Regular and on-time school attendance is crucial for any child's academic and social-emotional growth. At the Edith C. Baker School, our goal is to work together to ensure that every student attends school every day, arrives on time, and stays for the full school day. Consistent attendance helps prevent academic setbacks, as missing just two days a month can lead to falling behind and increased stress.
If your child is experiencing challenges with attendance, it's important that we address them early. Whether the issue is academic stress, personal challenges, or other factors, we want to work together to help find solutions..
