Proviso West Students Compete in Auto Top Tech Challenge
LISLE, IL — Four students from Proviso West High School’s Auto Shop classes participated in the prestigious Auto Top Tech Challenge at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Lisle, Illinois. The event, held on February 8th, brought together high school teams from across the region, with 20 high schools competing.
The Proviso West team, consisting of seniors Angel Gallegos, Giovani Sanchez, Omar Brito, and Diana Tapia, took part in this year’s challenge, marking the first time students from the school have entered the competition.
The students were coached by their Auto Shop teacher, Carl Fedele, who provided guidance and support throughout the preparation process.
The Auto Top Tech Challenge allows high school students to demonstrate their automotive skills in a competitive environment, solving real-world problems with the help of industry experts and instructors. The event is a valuable opportunity for students to showcase their abilities and gain insight into the automotive industry.
