NEWS FROM THE PANTHER DEN
WEEK 7 EDITION
WEEK 7 REFLECTION
I don't know about you but I find myself racing through days sometimes and not taking time to slow down and enjoy the little moments. This week I made a conscious effort to try to slow down...even for a moment. My moment this week was going with my son to a playoff game at Yankee Stadium. While I could have thought about all the things I needed to do, the two of us went together and for six hours or so, it was just the two of us taking in a baseball game that I know he will remember for the rest of his life and so will I. It was time spent relaxing, doing something to help me be better for others.
October is a busy month. The end of the first marking period is coming up, fall sports are heading into state playoff season and there seems to be more fall activities than I can count happening every weekend. There is always going to be homework to do, papers to grade, assignments to submit, lessons to create or activities to attend. It is important to read the signs and know when you need to slow down. Even if it is for an hour or a minute. Take time to focus on you so you can be better for others. It is something I know I need to work on and I encourage you to join me. Whether you are a teacher, student or parent, let's continue to look out for one another. As the season gets busier, signs will be popping up everywhere for all different things. Your calendar will be full of things to do. Don't miss the sign to slow down. #nocknation
