The Weekly Update #4
February 2nd, 2025

ARHS Updates
On to February, Patriots!
This month will be busy for our students as we begin the process of high school scheduling. Our counseling team is working diligently to prepare information about upcoming courses. Around mid-February, students will have class meetings to discuss scheduling, available resources, and course selection. Please check in with your students around this time to review the courses they've chosen and discuss their goals for the upcoming year. We’re excited to support them as they continue to develop and work toward their educational objectives.
This week is particularly special as it marks Counselor Appreciation Week. Our dedicated counselors are often at the heart of the most vital resources for students. Their tireless commitment to ensuring students are scheduled, prepared, and supported is invaluable. A school counselor has an immeasurable impact, and we are truly grateful for their hard work. If you haven’t already had the chance to thank your student’s counselor, this is a great time to do so!
In other news, we are in the process of updating our school forms and contact information. If you’ve received a notification regarding clinic form updates, please note that all student forms are accessible through the Parent Portal on the CCPS website. If you haven’t created an account yet, you’ll need to do so in order to update forms and contact information. Detailed instructions are included below to help guide you through the process.

Congratulations Darren Nieves!
Senior Darren Nieves hosted his first personal fundraiser, 'Auctions for Wishes', on behalf of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. Featuring live music, a live artist, 26 auction lots, and 3 private chefs, my event generated over $26,000 to benefit children with critical illnesses.

Student Services Updates
Hello Patriot Families!
As we embark on our second semester, we would like to take a moment to share that we have had the incredible opportunity to celebrate over 700 of our students for academic and/or attendance achievements. Student received their certificate(s) and joined us during lunch for a special treat. Thank you for your continued efforts and partnerships that lead us to such incredible accomplishments.
Next week, we are going to celebrate our January positive referral recipients. We are now partnering with our school store, PAT’S PLACE, as a way to not only provide students with their certificates, but with a small treat as well.
With your help, we can continue to provide our students with additional rewards/incentives, as we are always grateful to receive small gift card donations. If you are able to support in this way, please have your child(ren) drop off any donations to our Student Services Office.
Once again, thank you for your continued efforts and support! Go PATS!!
