PAWS FOR THE NEWS
"Paws for the News"
We hope everyone has enjoyed a good start to the new school year. All students at ECHS are adjusting well to our new schedule which includes a mixture of block and period days as well as a Flex period during the day. Our students are now in full swing with academic activities and assignments. We are looking forward to see the growth in our classrooms with some of the new changes designed to help students on all levels.
We are excited to celebrate Homecoming 2024 during the week of September 9th - 13th. We will host our Community Pep Rally on Friday September 13th at 9am. All 3 community schools will be in attendance and participate in the Pep Rally. We will also have the Homecoming parade on Friday at 1:45. You can also come by and see the grade level yard art on the lawn of the Main Building as they are completed and placed out front Friday as well. We would love to see you at these fun events for our students and alumni!
Our athletic teams have worked hard all summer and regular season games/matches are underway. We are excited to watch our teams compete, grow as a team, and win in the maroon and white. The Maroon Machine Marching Band is ready to show off all the work they've done to prep for the new season and new halftime show, you don't want to miss it! Our cheer squad is ready to help get our fans fired up and cheer on the Panthers. We hope you will come out and support our Panthers!

✨STAFF SPOTLIGHT✨
We want to start off with two remarkable women who ensure that every visitor, parent, and student feels right at home. Mrs. Laura Johnson, our Registrar and Secretary, along with Mrs. Amy Curlee, our Attendance Clerk, are the friendly faces you see as soon as you step into our school. They are not just the first point of contact but the embodiment of our school’s values of kindness, efficiency, and dedication.
Mrs. Laura Johnson has been with us for 26 years, expertly handling the complexities of student registration and school records. Her attention to detail ensures that our administrative processes run smoothly, and her warm personality makes her a favorite among staff and students alike. Mrs. Johnson's commitment to our school community is evident in everything she does, from managing paperwork to offering a comforting word to a nervous student.
Mrs. Amy Curlee, our diligent Attendance Clerk, plays a crucial role in ensuring that every student is accounted for each day. Her organizational skills are second to none, and she works tirelessly to maintain accurate attendance records.
Together, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Curlee are the backbone of our front office. Their dedication and positive energy create a welcoming environment that reflects the spirit of our school. We are incredibly fortunate to have them as part of our team, and we want to express our deep appreciation for all they do.
Thank you, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Curlee, for representing our school so wonderfully!
