We care about the success of every student at Oakley. To achieve this, students need to be present in class. Leaving early often means missing out on an entire class period. We'd like to ask for your help in ensuring students stay in school from the beginning to the end of the day. We appreciate your help.
Drop Off Begins: 7:35 AM
House Party Begins at 7:50 on Fridays-Wear your house colors!
Breakfast Ends: 8:05 AM
Tardy Bell: 8:10 AM
Attendance Bell: 9:40 AM
Dismissal Begins: 3:45 PM
All students Should be picked up by 4:05 PM
Students arriving after the Tardy Bell will have to be escorted by a parent into the school.
Parents picking up at 4:05 PM will be required to pick up their child in the office.

Yearbooks on Sale Now!
Our 2023-24 Yearbook is now on sale. Purchases can be made via the website or on campus in the office. If you want to pay by credit card, please use the online website. On campus purchases must be made with cash only. No checks will be accepted. Please include a filled out Yearbook form with your order. Blank forms can be picked up from the front office. Remember that only 100 are ordered and we normally sell out fast. Place your order now so that you can make sure you get your copy.
College and Career Week
Over the week of April 8-12, we will be celebrating College and Career Week with multiple speakers for students. Speakers have been invited from multiple career pathways. On Friday, we will have a career dress up day.
Volunteers needed for Field Day
Volunteers are needed for the Oakley Field Day on May 10. Volunteers must have the NCISD Volunteer badge. Contact Ms. Clifton at mclifton@newcaneyisd.org
STAAR Spirit Week | April 8-16
We will be celebrating Read Across America Week is March 4-7. We will have multiple dress up days that students can participate in along with some activities during the announcements.
April 8-Give it your best shot! Let's team up against STAAR!! Wear your Favorite Team or School Shirt.
April 9-May the Force be with You as you show your Superpowers! Wear your favorite Superhero or Star Wars Shirt!
April 10-Win the battle, beat the STAAR! Wear Camouflage, military attire, or colors!
April 11-Show your teacher what you know. Dress like your teacher from head to toe!
April 12-Get plenty of rest before the test! Wear your comfiest pj's! (Don't want to wear pajamas? Wear your favorite career or house colors instead!)
April 15-Put on your thinking caps and wear your favorite hat or cap!
April 16-Color Wars! Wear a color to support one of the grade levels!

Come celebrate the Day of the Child with Dual Language NCISD! Dual Language NCISD will be hosting this family event on Saturday, April 13 starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 12 p.m. There will be several activities, games and prizes during the event.

Funds from the sales help to fund activities for Field Day like the inflatables. Direct ordering can be done from the website.

Please check the dates below. On the following dates, the campus will be closed to ALL visitors. This includes lunches for all grades. Lunches can still be dropped off in the front office, but parents may not eat on campus.

Parent Shout Out for Students
Blast Expectations at Home!
Parents, we tested out the Parent Shout Out form before the Winter break. Now that we have it working, we would love for you to show recognition to our students showing Blast Expectations at home! We want to encourage Blast Expectations in all areas. If you see your child exhibiting the following, please send them a shout out!

When you see your child showing one of our expectations at home, fill out the following form and we will print off a certificate for them at school!

Library Books are Due
All library books are due back to the library by May 3 to begin inventory. Please do a check of all places your child may have left the book. Some places to look:
Under Seats in the Car
In the car trunk
In closets
On shelves
Under furniture
Families house
Please do not send fees for books until the end of May. Overdue book emails are sent automatically to the Skyward email. If your child has their book(s) in their backpack, please let their homeroom teacher know that they have it. Books can also be dropped off in the book turn in box outside the library. To pay a fee, wait for the notices to be sent starting May 6. Exact cash is needed.
PreK/Kinder New Student Registration(RoundUp)
PreKinder and Kinder New Student Registration (Round Up) is scheduled at the New Caney Annex Gym on April 18 from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and on April 19 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Parents are invited to learn about the registration process on April 4 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the New Caney High School Annex.

Mango Languages for Parents
New Caney ISD is excited to announce another year of partnership with Mango Languages.
What is Mango Languages? Mango Languages is a language learning software that the Multilingual department has purchased to help students with their L2 acquisition. It supports the learner in acquiring new languages (over 30 languages are available) and provides cultural context in a user-friendly interface.

Finding Report Cards in Skyward
Reminder, you can use Family Access in Skyward to keep track of your student's grades. Canvas Grades only gives you information about individual assignments. If you want to check on your student's overall grade, you will find that information in Skyward. You can put in a Help Desk Ticket request if you need help remembering your log-in information.

We are all a part of the Rocket House. The Rocket House will be divided into 7 smaller houses, with students and staff members randomly assigned to each house. Each house will be represented by one of the 7 Mindsets listed below:
