Announcements & Reminders

Oct. 17th: End of 1st Quarter
Oct. 18th: No School, Teacher Professional Day
Oct. 21-25: Parent-Teacher Conference Week. If you have not heard from us, we don't have concerns at this time. However, you may still request a conference with us if you have questions or concerns regarding 1st Quarter grade cards or beginning of the year work. Here is a link to the sign up.
Oct. 23-31: Spirit Week! See flyer below for details.
Nov. 4-5: No School, Teacher Professional Days

Math: We are working in Desmos Unit 3, Unit Rates and Percentages. Since it is the end of first quarter, students should have approximately 20% of their Khan goal completed. Ask your child what percentage they are at in Khan Course Mastery!
ELA: Each week students will have a Bellwork quiz over their practice for the week. We are also continuing our study over nonfiction text where we will focus on nonfiction text features, author's purpose, text structures and more.
Science/SS: In science we have begun Unit 2 on Weather! We will be studying the water cycle, precipitation, and how heat transfers in our atmosphere. At school we are working on Weather Booklets to assess and demonstrate our learning.
