Bicycle Safety
Every year thousands of people are injured while riding bicycles. Village of Lincolnshire Police Officer Dana Plotke this week provided DW walkers and bikers with three simple tips:
- PROTECT YOUR HEAD
- Always wear a helmet.
- OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS & LIGHTS
- Bicycles must follow the rules of the road like other vehicles.
- ACT LIKE A CAR
- Drivers are used to the patterns of other drivers. Don’t weave in and out of traffic. The more predictably you ride, the safer you are.
- Check for traffic. Be aware of traffic around you.

Alert Nurse of Medication Plan
It is very important for D103 families to alert their child’s school nurse if a child requires medication at school or has allergies. Medication and management forms must be turned into your child’s school in case of an emergency. Nurses require new action plans annually.
Medication should be turned into the school nurse by an adult. Medication is picked up at the end of the school year or the school will properly dispose of unclaimed medication.
Please send your forms to your school nurse through one of the following methods.
Fax to: Please fax all medical documents to our secured fax location at 847-821-0210. Please include a cover letter with your name and phone number, your child's name, grade level, school, and "Attn: Nurse". For your convenience, please use our medical cover letter when faxing.
Mail to: Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 Attn: Nurse, 111 Barclay Blvd. Suite 100, Lincolnshire, IL 60069
