Chequamegon Middle School & Glidden Elementary School

This summer has been fantastic, with fun times with family and friends! Even though I worked much of June, I am always amazed at how fast time flies when we approach the middle of July. There is still work to do. Thankfully, at this moment, and pending your approval at the July meeting, we will be fully staffed with moving the Glidden Elementary third grade to Park Falls Elementary.

Committee work starts with teachers teaming up to plan for the upcoming year! Let the learning begin!

Throughout this past school year, Sarah Graceffa and I participated in training as part of the TRAIN - WI Neurosequential Model in Education Training Project offered by CESA 10. The training included a book study on What Happened to You? by Dr. Bruce Perry and Oprah Winfrey, and The Boy Raised as a Dog. The completion of this training will allow Kacey and Sarah to become trainers within our district and share the important impacts that trauma has on brain development in children. If you are looking for a good read, I highly recommend the book What Happened to You? to work towards asking this instead of what is wrong with you.

Shout out! To Kevin and the maintenance staff! Thank you to Dave BeBeau, Sharon Walker, Kris Mineau & Michelle Byholm for their work this summer in cleaning and accomplishing many projects at the North Campus. Our school is beautiful because of you!
