Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week is teacher appreciation week. Mrs. Beane and I would like to take a moment to thank our staff for all that they do for our students each and every day. We are very fortunate to work alongside an incredible team.
The PTO has planned many wonderful activities to recognize our staff. They invite all Wilmot families to come out on Sunday and Chalk the Walk with messages for our staff!
Important Reminders Regarding Drop Off
Parents/Guardians - We Need Your Support
Below are some important reminders to ensure a safe drop off each day:
- Students should not arrive prior to 8:35. At this time we have staff available to supervise students. If you arrive early, please remain with your child until the adults arrive (kindergarten adults should remain with students until the doors are opened).
- All drivers must pull all the forward in both parking lots. You should never get out of your car and leave it unattended.
- Students should exit on the passenger side of the car.
- Students and parents should use the crosswalk in both parking lots.
Looking For Parent and Student Volunteers
Dear Wilmot Guardians,
As part of our School Improvement Plan, our Strategic Planning Committee is continually looking for ways to improve our procedures and practices. One area that we will be focusing on specifically is morning drop off. It is our goal to develop clear and concise drop off procedures that will allow students a safe, smooth and timely transition into the building each day.
To do so, we will be creating a video that will be shared with all families outlining dropoff procedures. We are looking for parents and students who would be willing to participate as “actors” in the video. If you are interested in donating your time, please complete the following form linked here. Depending on the level of interest and availability, not all families may be selected.
Thank you in advance for your time,
Bonnie Pettinger

What Do I Do if My Child is Not Returning to Wilmot Next Year?
If you have a current K-4th grade student who is not returning to Wilmot next year, please complete the form linked below as soon as possible. This information not only supports us with making class placements but knowing your child is moving allows us to prepare for your child's transition. Prior to your child's last day at Wilmot, we will prepare all records for transfer. As a reminder, our school office will not be open during the summer months. Please complete this form even if your child is transferring to another DPS109 school.
