St Bonaventure's
Spring Term 2 Newsletter
Introduction
This half-term has been eventful and impactful, we are proud of the work that our students are partaking in within our community such as campaigning for the London Living Wage and engaging in charity. This term we raised money for our Lenten charity CAFOD.
Especially during Easter, we take this time to be more selfless, as a reflection of the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made on the Cross so that we may have eternal life.
We wish you all a Happy Easter, stay safe and we look forward to having you back at the beginning of the summer term.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS HALF TERM
CAFOD Fast Day
We are very proud of the students that gave up their lunch break to serve others
Flame Conference
We had the opportunity to not only take a group of students to Flame, the biggest Catholic Youth Conference in the UK. We also watched some of our students perform on stage at Wembley, in front of 8,000 people.
Flame 2023 led young people in prayerful reflection with great depth, grace and poignancy.
A huge thanks to Miss Baidoo who provided unlimited support and guidance to the St Bon's and St Angela's 6th Form students, which prepared them for the powerful and poignant drama they delivered as part of the opening Liturgy.
Musical Lunchtime
On Friday 3rd March, we had a great selection of musical performances at lunchtime in the Cardinal Manning Hall with the drum kit, singing, ukulele and piano.
Well done to all those that performed so beautifully. All performers had a great time together with a lovely audience.
We’re looking forward to the next musical lunchtime!

Lion King Visit
They especially loved how realistic the costumes were as well as the amazing sets and scenery.
School Council Meeting
St Bon’s was selected as one of two Newham schools to participate in the pupil engagement session to talk about food insecurity and the scope for intervention. Our students were fully engaged and impressed our visitors with their invaluable insights.
