Did you know that children can fall behind academically if they miss 10% of school days? Let's continue our great start in September and work with us to help all kids show up this October. Being in school supports students’ social, emotional and physical well-being, and provides students with opportunities to learn, achieve and to reach for their dreams.
Assemblies
Each month teachers nominate up to 2 students to receive C.A.R.E awards (C=Cooperation, A=Accountability, R=Respect, E=Effort). Parents of the nominated student will receive a letter extending the invite to come and watch your student receive the award. (Only families of nominated student can attend, our school is a closed campus otherwise).
Day of assembly. Please notify office prior to assembly if your students end of day transportation will change (ie: normally takes the bus, but today you want parent pickup after assembly) Changes will be only be made prior to the assembly, after the assembly it will be dismissal time and students will default transportation home.
Safety Drills
We are required to practice emergency responses one time each month during the school year. We will have fire drills, lockdown drills, and earthquake drills to prepare for any future circumstance. In September we had a lockdown drill and passed with flying colors! Our students and staff did what they were supposed to do and the deputies on site were impressed with our performance during the drill.
Fall/Winter Weather
It's getting cold, and wet outside. We will have outdoor recess as much as possible as long as conditions are safe for students to be outside. Please be sure your students come to school dressed for the weather. Wear coats, hats, gloves, socks, shoes that protect their feet, and maybe even a change of clothes in case they get wet. Please also take a moment to label outer-wear with a permanent marker in case it is misplaced. If your child is missing their coat, please ask them to check the lost and found outside the gym.

They work tirelessly to make sure that our school environment is clean and safe. Please show her some love and appreciation, especially during her week!! Thank you for all that you do!
