Principal's Message
Check-in
Hello Trojan Families,
As we move through the school year, we encourage you to take some time this weekend to check in with your child about their school experience. Regular conversations about what's happening in their classes, their grades, and their attendance can greatly enhance your connection to their education.
Remember, as parents, you are your child's first and most important teachers. By staying engaged and informed, you help create a supportive learning environment at home. If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to work together to ensure a successful year for every student.
Additionally, please review the student handbook with your child to ensure everyone is up-to-date with school policies and expectations. Your partnership is vital in making this year a great one!
Thank you for your continued support and dedication.
Warm regards,
Michael Abraham
Principal
Parents, we need YOU to join SIC (Student Improvement Council)
SICs are advisory councils that bring together parents, educators, and community stakeholders to collaborate on the improvement of the school.
Who serves on an SIC?
Parents, teachers, students (9th grade or above), and community member representatives serve on an SIC, as do the school's principal and other ex-officio members.
What do SICs do?
SIC duties focus primarily on the school improvement process. SICs:
provide input and feedback during the development of the school's five-year renewal (improvement) plan and annual updates;
assist in implementation of school improvement programs and activities;
monitor and report on progress toward improvement goals in the annual SIC Report to the Parents and with the principal in the narrative to the SC School Report Card;
provide other assistance as requested by the principal.
