Dear Helotes Families,

It's hard to believe that September is almost over! It has been so nice seeing all of our students and families back for a brand new year. I have had the opportunity to meet many of our new students already in guidance classes and they are amazing! We are so glad you are here! My hope is for all children to feel supported and cared for, and learn tools they can use to help themselves emotionally and socially.

In this newsletter, you will see some of the curriculum covered so far, as well as the content areas, and programs we use in our Guidance and Counseling program. If you have any questions on how to help your child, feel free to reach out to me!

World Bullying Prevention Day-Wednesday, October 2

Decision of Respect Signing Day on Friday, October 4th!

Friday, October 4, is Northside Decision of Respect Day. Decision of Respect is a district-wide initiative in which students, faculty, and staff pledge to be respectful to each other, treat others with kindness, and talk with a trusted adult if they feel the environment is not safe. Campus counselors have also received these certificates and will provide lessons regarding the Decision of Respect.
