DSES Weekly Update

This week we are excited to have fall photos taking place on Thursday-October 10th. Dress to impress and we can’t wait to see those awesome smiles. Families, we are excited to announce that on Thursday-October 24th- from 5 pm -7 pm we will be having our annual fall festival. It will be a time of fun, food, and games. It is just $10.00 per child for all-you-can-play and trunk or treat. Our dunking booth is back by popular demand and is just $5.00 for 3 balls or $10.00 for a guaranteed dunk of your Principal or favorite grade level representative.
This month, every Friday is a chance to support Childhood Cancer while enjoying the day in your favorite hat. This event is known as Kids in Lids and it costs just $1.00 to participate in. Don't forget to drop off your dollar every Friday and bring your favorite hat. We're all in this to help spread the word about childhood cancer.
As we return to school tomorrow, please don’t forget to make sure that your child’s device is charged and ready to go for learning in the morning. Have your student double-check to make sure it is in their back pack, along with their chargers, so that they will be able to complete work as expected throughout the day.
Finally, we would like to invite all of our Don Steed Elementary families out to the Raeford fall festival parade that will take place on October 17th at 5:30 pm on Main Street.
