BES Parent Weekly Email
October 18, 2024
From the Principal
Parents,
It is hard to believe that the first nine weeks has already come to an end! You should be able to view your child's report card in Parent Portal. If you are having trouble getting access to Parent Portal, you will need to call the district office so they can give you access.
I want to personally invite you to STEAM Night on Tuesday, October 22. I know that schedules are crazy, but we would love for all of our families to stop by for as long as you are able. STEAM night will begin at 4:30pm and ends at 6:00pm. There are more details about this event below.
I hope you and your family has a wonderful weekend!
Mr. Fowler

STEAM Night - Oct 22
We want to invite you and your family to STEAM Night on October 22 from 4:30-6:00pm. We will have Scaly Adventures, the Fall Book Fair, and multiple rooms filled with STEAM activities. PTO will be providing a fundraiser dinner option so you do not have to worry about dinner when you leave. You can preorder you hot dog to guarantee that they have enough for you and your family. Even if you only come for a little bit, we would love to have you and your family here!
Vocabulary Day - Oct 31
Our students are encouraged to dress up, and pick a vocabulary word to match their outfit. The purpose of Vocabulary Day is for students to learn new words to use during their writing!
- Students must wear a sign that has the word and the definition.
- School Appropriate Costumes (No gore, weapons, must meet dress code)
- Mask can be worn for the Vocabulary Parade, but cannot be worn during the school day.
Honor Our Veterans
We would love for you to send in pictures of the veterans in your life! We will display them on our Honor Wall through Veterans Day! Please include their name, branch of service, and years of service.

This is just a reminder that all school fees must be paid in order for students to be allowed to attend a Field Trip. You can send cash, check, or pay on myschoolbucks.com. If you have questions about this, feel free to call the school.

Reminders
Transportation Change
You must call the office if you need to change the transportation for how your child normally gets home. Messaging the teacher on Class Dojo will not work because teachers will most likely not see your message until students are already gone.
Breakfast
If your child is a car rider and would like to eat breakfast at school, please be sure to get them to school as early as possible to give them plenty of time to eat. The hot breakfast line ends at 7:35am. I would suggest getting your child to school before 7:30am to ensure they are getting a hot breakfast, and are not rushed.
Tardy Bell
The tardy bell will ring at 7:45am. Students must be in their classroom by 7:45am in order to not be tardy. Parents must park and walk their child in if they are tardy.
Early Dismissal
Students will not be allowed to be dismissed from class after 2:00pm without administrator approval. Please plan doctor appointments accordingly.
Free Lunch
Breakfast and Lunch are free for all of our students this year!
