School closure information

School is closed beginning Saturday, December 21, 2024 and reopens on Monday, January 6, 2025

Please be aware that any time the Grand Blanc Community Schools close for inclement weather,

PAT will NOT have visits nor will we host classes.

Check ABC news alerts or the district's website for updated school closures.

Each class is limited to accommodate our families comfortably

and to be prepared with needed supplies

The class sign ups are a little different. Each class has one link and several dates to choose from.

Please be mindful that many are not able to sign up for classes at all. If you are NOT able to attend a class that you signed up for edit the form or please reach out to slacours@gbcs.org.

We ask that you please help your child to clean up toys.

It is the guardian's responsibility to watch over their children at all times.

Wee Play Together! Is a class all about connecting with your little one. Join Ms. Susan at 9:30am on either Tuesday or Thursday (please choose one Wee Play Together class per week) for a class with songs, finger plays, and interactive parent and child activities. We will partner with SKIP and Early On to host a Friday gym night. Each family will receive a book and each child will receive a snack to go at the end of the evening. We will open the PAT playroom for our younger children. Let us know how many will attend and ages so we may plan by filling out a form HERE

Join Zoha Al-Maqtari for Arabic Story Time. You can expect a circle time, story, table top activities and play while learning simple Arabic language related to common preschool topics such as colors, shapes, animals, numbers and more.

Join Senora DeJesus for Spanish lessons for your little ones on different developmentally appropriate topics such as colors, numbers, shapes, and more. Classes will include circle time, a story, table top activities and play while learning Spanish.

We will repeat the social emotional class that was held in December for those that could not attend before the holiday.

Join us for fun activities related to social emotional learning, including learning an "I Love You" ritual, some breathing exercises, identifying emotions and more!

We will be partnering with Fenton World of Wonder to host a family gym time 9 am - 9:45 am in the Perry Center gym, 11920 S Saginaw, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. The PAT classroom will be open from 9 am - 10 am for play also.

Friday, January 31st 9:30-10:30 am

Parents will learn more about composure and assertiveness when disciplining children. Parent educators will be in the playroom watching over the children while parents meet, have discussion and make a simple project.

We will be hosting two different dine in experiences locally to raise funds for Parents As Teachers. The funds raised will cover increased cost of curriculum and supplies for classes. Look for details in next months newsletter
