PLANNING FOR NEXT YEAR...
Parent Input for 2025-2026 Class Placement
Believe it or not, it's already time to begin planning for the next school year! A key part of this process is creating balanced class lists that support the success of all students. Our teachers work thoughtfully to place each child in a learning environment where they will thrive.
While we do not take requests for specific teachers, we want to ensure we are aware of any specific needs your child may have. If there are particular considerations; such as a peer your child works well with or a situation where separation from another student may be beneficial, this is your opportunity to provide that input.
Please complete this Parent Input Form by Friday, April 11 to share any important information that may help us in this process. Thank you for your partnership in supporting your child's success!

Cold/Snow Days: E-Learning Expectations
We have had two “no school days” this year due to weather. If we get to a third day, it would be an E-learning day. We have been sending iPads home periodically for practice. If you prefer that your child’s iPad doesn’t go home, reach out to the teacher and it will be kept safely at school.
If an inclement weather E-learning day occurs:
- Please check Schoology/Seesaw in the morning for instructions from the teacher for the days’ assigned learning activities. Teachers will post assigned learning activities on Schoology/Seesaw by 9:30 AM
- There will be no live/synchronous (Zoom) instruction. Rather, learning activities will be designed for students to complete independently at home. Students will spend about 30 minutes focused on math, 40 minutes focused on literacy, and about 30 minutes for specialist time.
- Teachers can be reached for questions via Seesaw/Schoology message, email or voice mail during normal school-day hours.
- Report an “absence” if your child is unable to participate in E-Learning due to illness or vacation.
- If your child’s iPad is at school, reach out to the teacher for attendance purposes and to tell her what you will be doing that day for learning activities. For example, read 30 minutes, play a game together, practice math for 30 minutes, draw a picture, write a story about the day, follow a recipe together, build with legos, etc.

Grade-Level Recommendation
Students should enroll in the grade level they will be entering in the fall of 2025 (i.e. 1st grade = review of kindergarten). If a different level may be more appropriate, please consult your child's teacher.
Give your child the confidence boost they need for the next school year with CAHOOTS!
Note: CAHOOTS is not a replacement for summer school if your child qualifies.
