A Message from the Principal!

Thank you to all the veterans who serve our country! You are appreciated!

The Student Council is kicking off its annual canned food drive this week! The canned food drive will be from November 12th until November 22nd. You can bring in canned goods or non-perishable items like pudding, macaroni and cheese, or fruit cups. Turn in the food to your homeroom teacher. Let’s get collecting and make a difference!

As early as next week there will be a new traffic pattern at HMS. More details are to come, but the HMS parking lot on the Mary Street/901 side will be blocked off. The parking lot is not a thru road. Student drop off will take place on the road at the crosswalk. Additional information and diagram to come.

Monday, November 11th - Boys Basketball Tryouts begin

Basketball Tryouts will begin on Monday, November 11th. First cuts will take place on the 12th, and final cuts will be made on the 13th.

8th Graders will try out for Varsity.

6th Graders will try out for JV.

7th Graders will try out for JV, unless contacted by Coach Plaza to try out for Varsity.

Tuesday, December 10th - HMS Science Fair set up

Wednesday, December 11th - HMS Science Fair - Open House 5 p.m. - Awards @ 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, December 11th - Handbell/Choir concert @ HHS @ 6 p.m.

Friday, December 13th - James Rumsey/Blue Ridge Field Trip for 8th graders

Wednesday, December 18th - Band Concert @ HHS @ 6 p.m.

Thursday, December 19th - Strings Concert @ HHS @ 6 p.m.

Friday, December 20th - End of the 2nd 9 Weeks/1st semester
