Message from the Principal
Dear Mustang Parents, Guardians, and Community
Welcome Back from Fall Break!
Welcome back, families! We’re excited to kick off Quarter 2 of learning. As we settle back in, let’s focus on attendance, which is crucial for student success. Our goal is 90% attendance for the year. To meet this goal, students need to be present for the entire learning day from 8:20 AM to 2:30 PM and should not miss more than 18 days throughout the entire school year.
From 8:30 to 9:00 AM, we hold school-wide interventions. This is an essential time when students are grouped to address learning gaps or enrich their learning experiences. Please ensure your child is present for this critical learning period.
Quarter 2 is packed with exciting opportunities for all Mustangs! Make sure you are reading our Mustang Memo each week!
Family Engagement will have many evenings. Peter Piper Pizza Boo Bash, Trunk or Treat and Costume Parade, Día de los Muertos Celebration, and Winter Wonderland Family Learning Night are just a few opportunities.
Student Athletics Continues with cross-country season this month. We’ll transition to basketball later in the quarter.
School Celebrations will also continuing. Our Rockstars and Mustang of the Month recognition programs, Academic Awards assemblies, and we’re thrilled to announce our Mustang of the Month field trip to a Folklorico performance.
The After-school program is up and running. Quarter 2 payment is due through ParentVue or through the front office. Look for new opportunities to sign up for individual classes—information will be sent home on Monday with students.
Let’s make Quarter 2 a fantastic and engaging experience for all as we RIDE respectfully together to success!
