EMSC Connects
Special Issue
Each year, National EMS Week recognizes and thanks EMS clinicians for their life-saving work on the frontlines of our health care system.
During EMS week, Wednesday is set aside for EMS for Children, or "EMSC" Day. EMSC Day is an annual opportunity to thank EMS clinicians for their dedication to meeting children's unique health needs and to spotlight the work of the federal EMSC program, now in its 40th year.
Utah EMSC staff would like to thank our responders for taking great care of Utah's kids! We thank you for seeking out education and opportunities to improve your care. We would also like to thank our pediatric emergency care coordinators (PECCs) for their help in building a network of pediatric collaboration. Your work matters to Utah's children.
You rock!!!

The Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program aims to ensure emergency medical care for the ill and injured child or adolescent is well integrated into an emergency medical service system. We work to ensure the system is backed by optimal resources and that the entire spectrum of emergency services (prevention, acute care, and rehabilitation) is provided to children and adolescents, regardless of where they live, attend school, or travel.
