Summer school registration is now open for students currently in grades TK–5, and spots are filling quickly! I highly encourage you to consider signing your child(ren) up for this exciting opportunity. The program offers valuable extended learning as well as plenty of fun, engaging activities to keep students motivated and growing. After school care is included for all students until 5 pm.

I’m thrilled to share that I will be serving as the Summer School Principal at Heritage Elementary this year, and I would love to see many of our Lawrence Leopards there! For those who may not be familiar, Heritage is located just south of Lodi Avenue.

6th Grade Lunch with a Loved One: Reminder that the 6th grade Lunch with a Loved One is this Thursday, May 1st at 12:30 pm. Feel free to bring a blanket or a lawn chair. We look forward to seeing you!

House Dash Volunteer Reminder: If you are fingerprinted, and would like to volunteer to help out during our House Dash from 8:15-10:00 please reach out to the office in person or by phone, (209) 331-7356. We hope you can join us.!

This week we will be focusing on supporting students who were unable to complete testing last week.

CAASPP Testing Schedule (Grades 3–6)

Please review the schedule below for upcoming CAASPP testing. We appreciate your support in helping students arrive on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best!

• April 28–May 2: All students in grades 3-6 will be testing!
  Grades 3–6 will complete the opposite subject from the first week (Math or ELA, depending on what they completed earlier).

• May 5–9:
  Grade 5 students only will complete the Science portion of the CAASPP assessment.

Please note that the majority of testing will take place Tuesday through Thursday starting first thing in the morning and will conclude for the day, prior to each grade level's designated lunch. Monday's will be utilized for student practice and training and Friday's will be utilized to support student make up testing needs.

San Joaquin County Public Health Services asks that this letter be shared to the parents and guardians of all children enrolled at Lawrence to ensure all students do not miss any necessary school days this upcoming school year. The following students could be impacted by vaccination requirements:

• Students currently in 6th grade who will be entering in the 7th grade next school season.
• Students currently in TK or any child who will be entering into kindergarten this next school season.
• Any newly enrolled students who will be starting school this next school season.
• Any children who are conditionally enrolled and are due for vaccinations.
