Quitting smoking isn’t easy. It takes time. And a plan. You don’t have to stop smoking or vaping in one day. Start with day one. Let the Great American Smokeout event on the third Thursday in November be your day to start your journey toward a smoke-free (and vape-free) life. You’ll be joining thousands of people who smoke across the country in taking an important step toward a healthier life and reducing your cancer risk. Our hope is that all students in New Fairfield live a tobacco free life. Unfortunately, the tobacco industry continues to market new products that contain high levels of nicotine that entice youth with flavors and claims of lower harm. The Zyn and other oral nicotine pouches are a new trend. The NFHS DECA chapter organized a food drive for the NF Food Pantry which ended on Nov. 11. We were able to donate over 400 items to the food pantry in time for the holiday season. Thanks to students and staff for your support in helping all families be able to celebrate together.

If you want to help, those wishing to donate food and/or supplies should contact the New Fairfield Social Services Department at 203-312-5669.

Any adult or high school student wishing to volunteer at the Pantry should print and complete the linked Pantry Volunteer Application Standard PDF or Fillable PDF. It should be mailed to:

The PTO sponsors scholarships, student assistance efforts, sponsors creative projects by our teachers, and helps keep our staff well-supported (and well-fed!) throughout the year.
