Engineering Adventures Week (1-week program): Calling all young inventors, builders, and problem-solvers! Get ready for an action packed week where YOU become the engineer! In Engineering Adventures, you'll build towering skyscrapers, design bridges strong enough to hold treasure, launch amazing flying machines, discover the secrets of simple machines, and create your very own invention from recycled materials! Each day brings a new engineering challenge that will spark your imagination and stretch your creative muscles. How tall can your tower grow? How much weight can your bridge hold? How far can your airplane fly? No experience needed! Just bring your curiosity and get ready to adventure!
Open to grades 2-5 - (Weeks 1 and 2)
Middle School STEM: Get ready for an unforgettable summer adventure where curiosity meets creativity! Over four action-packed days, campers will tackle hands-on STEM challenges, unleash their inner inventor, and work together to build a real underwater robot. From exploring engineering principles to testing their robot in water, kids will learn, laugh, and level up their problem-solving skills. Whether they're future scientists or just love to tinker, this camp is the perfect splash of fun and innovation!
Open to grades 6-8 - (Weeks 3-4)

Summer Band Lessons: This summer band lesson program is intended to provide instrumental music students with continued instruction and enrichment during the summer break. This initiative supports skill retention, musical growth, and preparation for the upcoming school year. This program is open to all rising 5th grade students who have participated in band this year and already have an instrument or are continuing to rent over the summer. It will not be open to new or beginning students since they will be getting an instrument demo assembly in the fall and will have the ability to rent instruments at that time. This will be three private half-hour lessons, one per week for weeks 2-4. Total cost $100.
Open to grade 5 - (Weeks 2-4)
Spanish Summer Camp: Students will enjoy a fun and engaging introduction to the Spanish language and culture through hands-on activities and immersive experiences – participating in Spanish songs, storytelling, games, and interactive lessons. The program would also include engaging crafts such as making papel picado banners, maracas, fiesta masks, and mini piñatas. Students would explore the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries through art projects, traditional dances, simple cooking activities, and outdoor scavenger hunts.
Open to grades 1-2 - (Weeks 1-4)

Celebrating Music Education Excellence
Mr. Zack Lutz Named GRAMMY Quarterfinalist
We’re thrilled to share that Zack Lutz, OMS Band Director and Music Teacher, has been named a 2026 GRAMMY Music Educator Award Quarterfinalist! Mr. Lutz has grown the OMS instrumental program, which now includes concert bands, hand chimes ensembles, and a jazz band—all of which are increasing in both enrollment and enthusiasm. Mr. Lutz’s leadership and passion, along with the support of TES music teacher Pamela Czekay, are demonstrating how vital and vibrant music education can be. Let’s celebrate this well-deserved recognition!
