Letter from the Principal
Dear Tiger Families,
What a joyful and exciting week we’ve had at St. Teresa! The halls and hearts of our school have been filled with celebration, reflection, and adventure. Our 2nd Graders made their First Holy Communion, receiving Jesus for the first time with reverence and joy—followed by a special Communion Breakfast. We honored Our Blessed Mother with our beautiful May Crowning, a beloved tradition that brings peace and grace to our school community.
Meanwhile, our upper grades experienced the great outdoors at Camp Ondessonk, making memories and building friendships that will last a lifetime. And to top it all off, many classes headed out on field trips Friday, exploring, learning, and having fun—all under the blessing of truly beautiful weather.
In the midst of it all, our students were excited to witness a moment of Church history unfold - the nomination of a new Pope on Thursday! Many classes watched the coverage, filled with anticipation as they waited to see if white smoke would arise from the Sistine Chapel chimney. It was a powerful reminder of the universal Church we belong to and guidance of the Holy Spirit. We join the church around the world in offering prayers and blessings to our new Holy Father, Pope Leo.
On Sunday, May 11th we honor and give thanks for all mothers and mother figures - those who guide us with love, patience, and faith. May the Blessed Mother, Mary, continue to intercede for you and bless you with grace, strength, and joy. Thank you for the countless ways you reflect God's love in our school and in the lives of your children.
As we head into another full and meaningful week, here are some important dates and joyful celebrations ahead:
Today (Saturday, May 10th): Please join St. Teresa and St. Luke Church in bidding farewell to Mr. Cozzi after the 5:00 PM Mass at St. Teresa Church. Mr. Cozzi has been a blessing to our community, and we are grateful for the light he has shared with us. We send him off with prayers as he continues his journey toward the priesthood.
Monday, May 12th: Sports Banquet – Doors open at 5:30 PM
Wednesday, May 14th: We say goodbye to our 8th Graders on their last day of school.
Friday, May 16th: 8th Grade Graduation – Join us at 6:00 PM at St. Teresa Church to celebrate this special milestone.
