Dear Builta Families

This Week at Builta
  • Attendance letters were sent home to students who have missed more than 10% of the school year. Please understand our purpose in sending attendance letters is to inform parents and to be proactive in ensuring regular student attendance at school. We recognize this may not be typical for your child. You may check your child’s attendance at any time using ParentVue.
  • Builta students had fun participating in all school Bingo game.
  • 5th grade students participated in the growth and development presentations.
  • The Builta Chorus under the direction of Mrs. Pieczynski held their first concert of the 24-25 school year. The students did a wonderful job displaying all that they have learned with Mrs. "Pie".

A Few Reminders

Lunch Drop Off Procedures

  • Lunches may be dropped off between 9:00 am - 11:00 am.

  • Lunches are not accepted after 11:00 am, after the cart has been brought into the building.

  • If a student doesn’t have lunch by their lunch period, we will tell students to select a school lunch from Organic Life.

  • Organic Life has vegetarian and peanut free options.

Forgotten Items Are Not Accepted for Drop-Off

Forgotten items are not accepted for drop-off. Builta staff will make sure that students have the materials that they need to participate during the school day.

Headphones

Please make sure that your children have a working set of headphones or earbuds to use during the school day. There are several academic programs that students use each day that require headphones or earbuds.

Valentine's Exchange

2.14: Builta students will have the chance to participate in a Valentine Exchange. This is a fun way for students to celebrate their friendships with each other. Participating in the Valentine Exchange is voluntary. Please review the following guidelines.

  • Include a Valentine for every classmate.

  • Due to food allergies, please do not purchase valentines with candy or other food items attached.

February 27 Parent Teacher Conferences

Spring Parent Teacher Conferences will occur on February 27 from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm.


Please note that Spring Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled based upon a teacher request or a parent request. If your child’s teacher does not feel a conference is necessary at this time, but you have a concern and would like to meet, please contact your child's teacher and they will reserve a conference time for you. Remember our staff is always available via email or phone any time you have questions or concerns.

  • 2.26: PTA Sponsored Assembly-The Headspin Guy

Holiday/Cultural Displays by Parents

Builta School has provided our families with opportunities to share a little about themselves, by putting together displays that represent our families' cultural and holiday celebrations. If you are interested in signing up to decorate the front office hallway display case for an upcoming holiday or cultural recognition, please click on the blue link and complete the form.
