Sprague Families,

Please join us for the grand opening of our Sprague School Storywalk™ on Wednesday, August 2, at 5:30 p.m. on the Sprague playground! Families can walk the path of our new installation and read a story together on this evening or any time in the future during non-school hours!

The StoryWalk was made possible through the donation of local families. A StoryWalk places an illustrated children’s book along a walking path displaying each page individually on a large display board where families can walk the route and read a story along the way.

In case of light rain, we will still join together. If it is raining heavily or storming, please feel free to visit the StoryWalk at your convenience.

Class schedules will be available online by Noon Monday, August 7, for families who have completed registration.

• To access schedules, after logging into PowerSchool, go to the My Schedule option on the left hand side of the screen toward the bottom of the page.

• If parents have forgotten their PowerSchool password, please click on the forgot password link in PowerSchool.

• If families still cannot access PowerSchool, please email powerschool@d103.org.

The physical and updated vaccines are mandated for entry into school for children entering the following grade levels:

• All new students to D103
• All kindergarten students
• All sixth-grade students

These forms are due before the start of the school year, no exceptions. Please check with your child's pediatrician should you have any questions regarding your child's vaccine status.

Please find the school supplies necessary for a given grade on our District 103 website under school supplies. Even if you ordered PTO kits, Sprague has added additional items to its grade level lists so please review them.

• Meet the Teacher

• Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. Students whose last names begin with N-Z are invited to drop off school supplies and meet their teacher.

• Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. Students whose last names begin with A-M are invited to drop off school supplies and meet their teacher.

• If you are unable to attend this event, you can drop off your child's school supplies on the first day of school at the office. Supplies are organized with teachers on the first days of school.

• Grade Level Play Dates - 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sprague Playground

• Second-Grade, Wednesday, Aug. 9

• Kindergarten and Early Childhood, Friday, Aug. 11 and Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 :00 to 11:00 a.m.

• First-Grade, Thursday, Aug. 17

• We will notify you on the day of the event if we need to reschedule due to rain.

• First Day of School - Thursday, Aug. 24 (full day)

• Back to School Bash - 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, Sprague Playground
