Successes in the Burrow!
Hello Students and Families!
I cannot believe we are rounding out our first full month in school and October is just around the corner! This week we focused on school safety with our students and staff. I am so proud of how our students responded during each of our drills this week! They were at Level 0 voices (which means no talking), had eyes on the teacher, and were ready to listen to the directions from the adults. We will continue to practice safety drills throughout the year to help build knowledge and skills in the area of school safety.
See some pictures below with happenings in the burrow this week.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Patterson PTA
The PTA provides school and teacher support, programs, events and fundraising throughout the year. Your PTA membership gives you access to attend class parties and other PTA-sponsored activities at Patterson, but you are not required to attend meetings, events or volunteer.
If you plan to attend class parties, your first step is joining the PTA.
By joining the PTA, you are able to know what is happening at Patterson and hear the Principal’s Report directly from Mrs. Hebenstreit at the monthly PTA Meetings.

Orange Ruler is back for the Fall Fundraiser and will kick off on October 1!
Our big Fall Fundraiser – the Orange Ruler Fun Run – is almost here!
This program will last for approximately two weeks beginning with our kick-off assembly on October 1. The Orange Ruler team has put together a fun-filled experience for Patterson that focuses on teamwork, staying active and believing in yourself.
This important program will help us raise much needed funds that will be used for PTA activities and programs during the year like the Wheel of Wisdom, Science Fair, Bingo for Books Family Fun Night, Kindergarten t-shirts, classroom digital software, LMC books, Patterson Champion rewards, out of the blue prizes, and much more.
Please be on the lookout for the Orange Ruler parent letter and donation envelope which will be coming home with your child on the day of the kick-off assembly.
We look forward to working together to help make this one of the most successful fundraisers our school has ever had!

Explore the Arts and Express Yourself with PTA Reflections
Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us to explore the arts and express yourself with PTA Reflections!
This year's theme is Accepting Imperfection.
All PTA Reflections entries are due to the Patterson office by Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Entries not meeting the category specific guidelines upon submission will be disqualified from advancement. Specific submissions guidelines, entry forms and more are available on the Patterson PTA website. Please email the Patterson PTA with questions.
What is Reflections?
The National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. We proudly offer this National Reflections program to all our District 204 students. Each School’s PTA works hard to make this program work by advertising, collecting entries, and announcing any advancements or winners. Founded in 1969, PTA Reflections is known as the oldest and largest national student recognition program in the arts. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

Please make sure to complete this form when visiting your child's classroom.
Staff will be present at all entrances being used for arrival and dismissal to supervise students.
