October Newsletter from Lincoln!
Lincoln Families!
We are more than half-way through the month of October! Our students continue to do a great job at Lincoln with routines and procedures and we are full-fledged in the academics!
Last night, we had our PTA sponsored Fall Fest at Lincoln and I hope you had a chance to swing through! It was wonderful seeing so many families and costumes. Our students all seemed to be having a blast so shout out to our amazing PTA!
As we are in the midst of October, we will be sharing information in the coming days about our Halloween Parade and party at Lincoln! On October 31st, we will have our parade at 1:45 followed by classroom parties at 2:15. Only room parents will be able to be in the classrooms and support the parties while the parade will be outside and available for all Lincoln Families to see. As we near the 31st, we will share reminders on the map, visitor process, and expectations for costumes!
In November we will be having a Veteran's Day Breakfast where we hope to recognize local veterans who are family members of Lincoln students. We will serve complimentary coffee and donuts and hope that many Lincoln students bring a family member who was a veteran so we can show our gratitude for their service!
If you need anything, please let us know!

Attendance Information
As we begin another school year in District 15, I want to highlight the importance of daily attendance in your child’s academic success.
Regular attendance is key to academic achievement and personal growth. Each day in District 15 offers new opportunities for learning, and we ask that you prioritize your child’s presence in school. Research shows that attendance directly impacts academic performance and helps students feel more connected to their school community.
This year, every District 15 school is encouraging all families to commit to missing 9 days or less for school success. Every lesson, discussion, and interaction contributes to your student’s progress, both academically and socially. Being in school not only fuels learning but also opens doors to extracurricular activities and social connections.
While we understand that occasional absences may happen due to illness or other circumstances, please ensure your student stays in communication with their teachers and promptly completes any missed work.
Thank you for your partnership in making this a successful year of growth and learning.
SPARK Information
SPARK, which hosts several meetings throughout the school year with a focus on helping families who have children with special needs, has lined up a few different presentations that are separate from what we have scheduled (IEP and Autism presentation). Linked below is English and Spanish versions of 3 documents.
