Dear 2nd Grade Parents,

This nine weeks, we have continued to focus on year-end goals. The goals include responding to basic questions, counting 1-100, and identifying calendar words. We have also begun to review and expand our knowledge of family words. The students have drawn their families in class and will introduce them to classmates next week in Spanish. Although communication has been a central focus, we have also made cross curricular connections by identifying the Spanish-speaking countries on the world map and discussing the ancient Glyptodon. We now know the Glyptodon as the armadillo who, 10,000 years later, lives in Tennessee. Please refer to links included in this newsletter to reinforce learning at home. As always, thank you!
