It is that time of year when we begin thinking about placement of students into classrooms for next year. If you have concerns to share, please complete the Student Placement Information Form.
This is an optional form - Please only fill this form out if you have concerns to share or if your child will not be attending Elm Creek next year. Deadline to complete form is Monday, March 31st.

Community Education is offering many enrichment classes at Elm Creek for spring. Check out the flyer for more information.
K-2 Family Reading Night
Family Reading Night is coming up on Thursday, April 3 from 5:00-6:30pm. This is a fun family activity that is hosted by EC staff for K-2 students and their families. There will be activities, book giveaways, and lots of reading fun. While it is geared towards K-2 students, older siblings are of course welcome to attend.

Girls on the Run
Elm Creek is offering a new opportunity for girls in grades 3-5. Our very own Erika Schmidt (Kindergarten teacher) is volunteering to be a coach for Girls on the Run.

Recess
Due to the melting snow, mud and puddles outside, we will be doing recess on the blacktop and playground only when conditions are wet and muddy. This means all other areas are off limits. Students who get sent inside requesting a change of clothes due to playing in mud and puddles will be calling home and will not be seen by the nurse. Our health office must prioritize students with medical needs.
Updated Boundary Scenarios
Community feedback from January and early February helped to narrow and refine proposed attendance boundary scenarios. Specifically, scenarios 1 and 2 moved forward with some adjustments based on comments received. Timeline: These events in March will likely wrap up districtwide feedback opportunities. The school board is expected to approve final attendance boundary changes in May. The new attendance boundaries will then go into effect fall 2026.
