FAFSA Update
Boating Safety First
Boating Safety First offers this course to the recreational boating public to obtain the
New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate (NJ BSC) to operate a Power Boat/PWC (Jet Ski)
legally on NJ inland waterways. Students must be 12 years of age or older.
Topics include:
1. Your Boat components/features, engines,
2. Operating Your Boat,
3. Navigation,
4. Legal Requirements.
5. Boating Emergencies,
6. Water Sports.
Students will receive the temporary NJ BSC at the completion of the course and
passing the exam. Th permanent NJ BSC is mailed to students later.

Ava Inspires Kennedy Elementary Students
Today, Friday, January 5, Ava Weinberg spoke with Mrs. Byrne's 4th grade class at Kennedy Elementary about the RHS Interact Club. Ava informed Mrs. Byrne's class about civic activities our Interact Club does. She also shared how the club can build friendships, gain knowledge, and understand how to maintain relationships. I was not there, but I was informed that Ava was AWESOME!
Gaming Gaels
Preparation for the upcoming spring league will be starting soon. Our converted storage room is almost ready. Please stay tuned to your email for more info. Those that did not sign up and are interested please email esports@roxbury.org to get on the information list. Below is the finalized list of games offered for competition and three possible leagues. While we will mainly concentrate on the three games, we are not limited and there will be free play days offered as well.

NJEPA Scholarship Opportunities
The New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association (NJEPA) honors the State’s exemplary Emergency Managers through a series of scholarships named in their honor. These awards are named for Captain Jonathan C. Young, former President of the New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association and career firefighter and fire officer and Michael W. Augustyniak a former career emergency manager and planner for the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management. They are intended for a graduating high school senior, or college student presently enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in pursuing a career in the emergency management field of study. This includes emergency management, homeland security, fire suppression, law enforcement, hazardous material, arson investigation, emergency medical services, planning, Health, Public Health, Social Services, etc.- in the public or private sector.
