THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
November 4, 2022
Wasco Families,
When I was younger, I really wanted four children, but then- life. However, it recently occurred to me that I am on the brink of my goal, as my two children are making marriage plans! I am enjoying this opportunity to combine and expand our family, and this upcoming weekend I have planned the Drayer Founders Weekend for the purpose of sharing and enjoying our family traditions and treasured stories with my son’s fiancé. This does mean that I will be missing our Wasco Veterans Day Ceremony, and I regret not participating with you to honor our Veterans and Servicemen. I am so proud of our families for demonstrating their gratitude by sharing their families’ biographies so we could get to know each of these important men and women. Each of their stories represents the sacrifice of time they made with their own families, a treasure to all of us. Our Honor Wall is prominently displayed in the main hallway and ready for viewing by our honorees. Please extend my regrets to your family members attending, and my deepest gratitude for their service to our country.
Kind Regards,
Principal Stephanie Brennan

News from Physical Education/Wellness
On November 15th, 16th, and/or 17th thousands of participants will take part in the 2022 STACK UP! through sport stacking. Each year, the World Sport Stacking Association provides more than half a million participants around the world to set the WSSA World Record for "The Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations" also known as the STACK UP! In 2019, 638,503 stackers participated to break the previous STACK UP! record of 624,390.
This year we hope to have over 650,000 stackers contribute their sport stacking skills from across the United States and around the world in locations such as Hungary, Germany, Israel, South Korea, New Zealand, Colombia, and Taiwan. Wasco students will be participating during their physical education classes learning various sport/cup stacking techniques and different activities.

Last Chance to Help! The Big Hearts of Fox Valley Ends November 7!
As part of the District’s partnership with the nonprofit Big Hearts of Fox Valley and our school’s Parent Teacher Organizations, we have arranged for each of your schools to get involved with supporting our students in need this holiday season.
In the coming days, our operations team will deliver a donation box to each school for BHFV’s Holiday Toy Drive. We are asking you to keep this box on display from October 10 - November 7. Students, staff and families may donate items ranging from grocery store gift cards and toiletries to new board games and holiday wrapping paper. You also have the option to have students decorate these boxes as part of BHFV’s Deck the Box campaign. Our District PTO members have also been informed of this opportunity to lend their support.
Big Hearts Fox Valley is dedicated to supporting children affected by financial hardship around the December holidays and throughout the year. To learn more about BHFV and its donation campaign, visit www.bigheartsfv.org or contact Nicole Fraser at nicole@bigheartsfv.org.
Thank you for your commitment to our students and through partnerships such as these to brighten the lives of children each day.
