We would love for the community to be involved with our pep rallies. Come out to support, cheer, and wish our Jackrabbit and Lady Rabbits the best!

Campus Start and End Times

Please take note of the new start and end times at each of our campuses. Students should be in their homeroom/1st period at the start time for the respective campus.

School on a Friday?

BISD has a 4 day instructional calendar with Fridays being flex days for students. On flex days students may be asked to make up seat time from too many absences, serve consequences, or attend instruction to fill in gaps. It is also a day to catch up on assignments or work on projects. However there are 2 Fridays on the 24-25 calendar that are regular school days where students will be expected to be in attendance. Please help us continue to have excellent attendance by not scheduling appointments or being out of town on August 9th and September 6th. The 24-25 BISD Calendar will be located in the each monthly newsletter for your connivence.

BISD 4 Core Values

We have embedded these words in the expectations for students and staff and in our promises for all stakeholders. Throughout our district newsletter, you will see references to these beliefs and how we are assuring them on all campuses.

Beginning of the Year Universal Screeners

Throughout the coming weeks, all K-8 students will be taking the NWEA MAP screener in Reading and Math. Ever wondered what these Universal Screeners are for? Take a look at this video. You will receive the results for your child at parent-teacher conferences on October 11. Mark your calendars for these important meetings.

Welcome New Teachers

BISD has added excellent educators to our staff rosters this year. They have been in trainings for over a week learning how BISD works, processes, programs, and expectations. It is going to be a great 24-25 school year.

Bowie ISD offers career and technical education programs at Bowie High School and Bowie Junior High School.
