π Message from the Principal π
Vikings, congratulations on making it through CAASSP Testing Week!! We hope that you tried your best and enjoyed the end of testing celebration on Friday! This week, we will be pulling any students who were absent last week to complete the testing.
Last week, MVA Administration held a class meeting for each grade level where we discussed some important end of year reminders:
For 8th graders:
- You must pass ALL of your classes with a D- or higher in order to be eligible to promote.
- Any suspensions between now and June 5th will result in you not being able to participate in the Promotion Ceremony.
- End of Year Special for Promoting 8th graders (see flyers below for more info)
For 7th graders:
- You must pass ALL of your classes with a D- or higher in order to stay on track for promotion next year.
- If you do not pass a class, it is strongly recommended that you attend summer school from June 10-28.
- ASB Elections will be happening this week.

Happy Classified Professionals Appreciation Week!!
Since we are in the mood of celebrating, it's imperative to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the unsung heroes of our educational community: our classified staff. From the warm smiles and efficient assistance provided by our secretaries to the meticulous care and dedication of our instructional aides and IHCAs, attendance tech, cafeteria staff, custodians, gardener, library tech, IT tech, registrar, and campus security, each member of our classified team plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our school. They are the backbone of our institution, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our classrooms are clean, our technology is functional, our resources are accessible, and above all, our students and staff are safe and supported. Their commitment, professionalism, and unwavering dedication embody the spirit of service and excellence that defines our school community. Please join me in expressing our deepest gratitude to these invaluable members of our team for their vital contributions to the success and well-being of Mar Vista Academy!
