Food Service Product Recall 05/10/2024
What Is The Situation:
On Monday, May 6, Martin Brothers Distribution was notified by their supplier, Kerry Foods, of an ingredient recall due to possible salmonella contamination that was found in an ingredient from their supplier, Grande Custom Ingredients. Out of an abundance of caution and care, they have decided to issue a recall of their foods that contain the at-risk ingredient lot codes and any other production they deemed could be potentially at risk of contamination.
The ingredient in question was used in our lunch program yesterday. While there is a low risk of contracting Salmonella from the prepared food, we are taking every possible precaution to mitigate any potential risk.
Note: There have been no confirmed cases of illness related to this issue.
What Are We Doing:
Sincerely,
Dr. Joey Page, Superintendent
