Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate some of our recent academic achievements as a school community. This past semester, Oakland High School was once again recognized as a Level 5 school in academic growth by the state of Tennessee. This marks the eighth consecutive year we have achieved this distinction, making us the only comprehensive high school to reach this milestone.
Additionally, as you may know, the state of Tennessee began assigning letter grades to public schools last year. We are thrilled that Oakland High School received an "A" for the second year. These accomplishments would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our incredible teachers, staff, and students.
I also want to take a moment to thank you, our parents. Your commitment to ensuring your child is prepared and focused on learning plays a vital role in our shared mission to provide the best possible academic environment at Oakland High School. While we are proud of these achievements, we understand that our school, like all others, faces unique challenges. However, I am confident that by continuing to work together, we can overcome any obstacle and position all our students for success.
