RoadTrip Nation Visits HHS!
Hey there, Hobart families! Did you happen to see that eye-catching green RV parked outside Hobart High School this week and wonder what all the buzz was about? We were thrilled to welcome Roadtrip Nation, a part of the Strada Collaborative, on September 4! This nonprofit organization is dedicated to empowering learners by providing essential resources and support for equitable education and employment pathways.
At Hobart, we are committed to empowering all students to define their own road. There are so many voices out there telling you what to do and who to be, but your own voice is the one that matters most. We're here to help you find those answers for yourself. Our process of self-construction begins with letting go of the noise around you. Start by shedding the stigmas that have been placed on you for years. No matter who you are, your life is yours to define, and you get to choose your own version of success.
During Roadtrip Nation's visit, four Roadtrip Nation Roadies—young adults with unique career journeys—parked their iconic green RV at our school to engage with our 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade students. They shared valuable insights on leadership, teamwork, and exploring various career paths. We encouraged students to look inward and define what matters to them, identifying their passions and letting those interests guide their journeys. It’s time to put your dreams on the street with newfound courage and confidence.
With over 20 years of experience, Roadtrip Nation hosts a variety of events, including screening tours, campus visits, and speaker panels. We can’t wait to hear about the amazing experiences our students had and how they are beginning to carve their own paths toward success! For more information about Roadtrip Nation, including their award-winning films, interviews, and resources for discovering career possibilities, please visit their website: https://roadtripnation.com/
