ANTHROPOLOGY
This past week students from Talawanda High School's Anthropology class had the opportunity to visit Sunwatch Indian Village in Dayton, Ohio. SunWatch is a 900 year old archaeological site where students were able to study Native American lifeways, see firsthand the results of archaeological excavation techniques, and engage with a professional archaeologist. It was an excellent experience both in learning the science of Archaeology and in building awareness about Ohio's rich Native American history.

EYEGLASS COLLECTION
The Oxford Lions Club Sight Saving Committee is collecting used eyeglasses, as well as glasses cases! These glasses and cases are donated all over the world to children who are in need. The lenses and frames from the donated glasses are modified to meet individual children's eye needs. Every year, Oxford Lions Club collects and sends 900-plus pairs of glasses to children in need!
Please send any glasses donations to Betsy Beaton (Marshall Elementary School) or Shaunna Tafelski (Board Office) by December 16th, 2024. We are happy to swing by and pick up glasses donations or they can be dropped off at Marshall or the Board Office. Thank you for supporting the Oxford Lions Club! :)
