📣 Families! Here's What's Happening!
This past Friday, our school celebrated the arrival of a special Moon Tree!
This tree represents possibilities, ideas, and dreams. It all started with a simple question from astronaut Stuart Roosa: could seeds germinate in space? This question led to the Moon Tree project, a symbol of curiosity and exploration.
We want to encourage our children to ask questions, be curious about the world around them, and believe in the possibilities of their dreams and ideas.
The celebration was a huge success! We were honored to have Representative Colleen Garry join us, along with Mrs. Santos, a dedicated daily volunteer and Mrs. McCarthy our Title One teacher.
A special thank you goes to:
- Jason Lampron , Mill City Iron Fabricators for donating the fencing
- Elvin, the Lowe's manager, for the interior fencing donation
- Mrs. Porcello for sharing the idea and making it a reality!
This wouldn't have been possible without everyone's support!

Turkey Trot
Please take a moment to register your student for the Brookside Turkey Trot fundraiser. Registration allows us to apply donations to their record so they receive prizes - and they even get a prize just for registering!
Register at https://www.getmovinfundhub.com/register and use School ID
66eb18a90f47a. Share your child's link with family, friends, and colleagues to help increase donations.
Donations are accepted online and in cash - please send cash donations to school in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name. The PTO can apply cash donations to your child's account so they receive prizes and build towards their classroom's ranking!
All students take part in the November 15th Trot regardless of donations totals. All dollars raised are used to provide for field trips, community events, and other enrichment activities at the school.

💡 Reminders
1. IMPORTANT DATES 📆
No school Tuesday November 5 and Monday November 11
Early Release November 27 @ 11:30
No school Thanksgiving break 28-29.
2. ASK YOUR CHILD ABOUT ❓
How many times have you asked "How was school?" just to get a one word answer or nonverbal shrug. Try a new way to spark conversation with your student! This month's example: Snapshot of the Day. Ask your child to draw a picture of their favorite part of the day, or a time they felt the calmest, or a time they felt the most stressed.
