Principal’s Message to the School Community
Dear School Community, Parents, and Students,
It is with a heavy heart that we extend our deepest sympathy to the families, students, and staff of Apalachee High School during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this unimaginable loss, and we stand in solidarity with their entire community.
I want to take this opportunity to reassure each of you that the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priority every day. Our school is committed to creating a secure, supportive, and nurturing environment where all students can learn, grow, and thrive. We continue to take every precaution to ensure that Dublin High School is safe, and we are dedicated to maintaining an open dialogue with parents and guardians to address any concerns that may arise. We believe strongly in the saying “ if you see something, say something.”
Thank you for your continued trust and support. Together, we will continue to provide the care, security, and education that our students deserve.
Additionally, as we enhance our safety and security measures, I want to remind parents and guardians of the book bag policy for Dublin High School that is found on page 13 of the Student/Parent Handbook.

These organizations foster not just career readiness but also personal growth and community involvement. Join us in cheering on our students as they step into roles that shape their futures and strengthen their leadership skills!
FBLA Members & Business Communication Students attend DLC First Friday Breakfast
Members of the Dublin High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and students from the Business Communication course had the privilege of attending the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce's First Friday Breakfast. This event provided an invaluable opportunity for students to engage with community professionals who generously shared their insights and experiences. Additionally, students were honored to hear from the newly elected District Attorney, Judge Harold McLendon, who offered inspiring words during the breakfast.
We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support from our administration and the College & Career Academy CEO, whose investment in our students' growth continues to make a lasting impact. Through this event, students were able to put their networking skills, cultivated both in the classroom and as members of FBLA, into real-world practice. This experience not only expanded their professional connections but also deepened their understanding of how to apply these essential skills in future endeavors.

Student Spotlight
Dublin City School is proud to announce that 11th Grader Jordan Bostic has earned National Recognition from the College Board for his outstanding academic achievements. Bostic’s high GPA, exceptional performance on the PSAT, and score of 4 on the Advanced Placement U.S. History exam led him to receive this distinguished honor. Bostic's passion for learning is evident in his love for history, which he considers one of his favorite subjects. “History is fascinating to me because it interests me in a way no other subject has,” he said. “I enjoy learning about technological advances and seeing how far we’ve come since the 1900s. It also helps me understand and learn from the mistakes of the past. Having been part of the Fighting Irish Family since Pre-K, Bostic hopes to one day work in cybersecurity. He attributes much of his success to the foundation the district has provided. “DCS has prepared me for my future career by teaching me how to appropriately prepare for, protect against and recover from a significant cyber incident. This has been especially true in Sgt. Baham’s JROTC classes where I’ve also learned valuable life skills like financial management and community service,” he explained. In addition to his academic success, Bostic is an active member of his school community. Beyond JROTC, he plays trumpet in the Fighting Irish Marching Band and participates in the Beta Club. He also takes dual-enrollment classes through Middle Georgia State University. Join us in congratulating Jordan for this outstanding achievement. His dedication to both his academics and extracurricular activities exemplifies the well-rounded, future-focused student that Dublin City Schools strives to cultivate, and his recognition by the College Board is a testament to his hard work and bright future ahead.
