THURSDAY EXCHANGE NEWSLETTER
August 8, 2024
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Parents & Families,
What a great first week of school! Thank you for choosing us for your child's educational journey. We look forward to partnering with you and your family to help Develop the Leader in your child!
Arrival/Dismissal Notes
Thank you for helping us get our dismissal running smoothly in record time! We are running on time, getting students out safely.
- All families picking up must have a pink hangtag. If the driver does not have a pink hangtag, he/she will have to go inside, get one, then get back in their car to return to the pick up line. We will no longer release students from inside. All students must be picked up in the dismissal lines.
- Students must be picked up before 4:35. A $10 late fee per student will be charged to families who do not pick up on time.
- All students need to be dropped off in the arrival lines. Students should not be dropped off in the parking lot. With cars driving through our parking lot, it is very dangerous for a student to navigate on their own.
- Our doors open at 7:15, students dropped off prior to 7:15 are not monitored by campus staff. It is unsafe for your child to be alone outside the school building.
- Be sure to not let your child out of the car until the carline has stopped and is not moving.
- We will close the back arrival area at 7:45 each morning.

DEVELOPING LEADERS AT LSRO
Weekly I Will Statements
During morning announcements, we will focus on one LifeLeader Attribute each week and learn what we need to do to develop each attribute so that we can become effective leaders in our school and in our community. We encourage students and families to memorize these statements together and talk about how the attribute is exhibited at home, school and work. We will share the I Will statement in the weekly newsletter and on our campus Facebook page. We look forward to hearing how students are exhibiting the attributes at school and home. Click here to view all 15 LifeLeader attributes.
- I want to thank you, and the staff for your hard work in making the dismissal line better and successful.
We would like to recognize LSRO staff for all the amazing things that they do each day for our students. If you have someone that you would like to brag about, please fill out this form and we will share the Shout Outs through the weekly Thursday Exchange.
