SGA's Food Drive
Student Government Association (SGA) has started our annual Food Drive for the Howard County Food Pantry. This year we are trying to collect 1,000 canned food items. We have already received 99 items. If we reach our goal of 1,000 items by Friday, May 31st, then we get to dress up Mrs. Liwosz. Will she be a clown or a princess? Bring in the food items to find out! If we bring in an additional 200 items, then Mrs. Liwosz and Mr. Smith gets to be dressed up. For every 200 additional items, then another staff member will be dressed up. All food items need to be collected by Friday, May 31st. The food bank is in need of bags of rice, pasta and sauce, spices, soups, peanut butter, sauces and condiments, bags of beans, hot and cold cereal, 100% fruit juice, and diapers (size 4+). Let's restock the shelves for Howard County residents! Please bring items to Mrs. Ciliberti's classroom.

INTERNATIONAL NIGHT
When we say FES knows how to party, we mean it! Wow what a fun, uplifting, positive night! The cultural performances and displays were out of this world! We are still in awe of the amount of ethnic food available to sample and the intricacy of the displays with games, crafts, trinkets and more!
In addition to the displays, everyone had so much fun, dancing, getting face paint and tattoos, completing passports for sno cones, visiting sponsor tables and so much more!
This event would not have been possible without many, many people:
*Organizers: Gozde McGuire, Shelley Bliss McGarry, Rachael Schwartz and Greta Luhar - you did an amazing job!!
*MCs Mrs Prather and Mrs Gainer Lee who rocked the show and the entire Admin team for not only joining us for the whole night but helping set up extra overflow chairs, clean up and more!
*DJ: Max Altmark (FES dad!) the music selection kept us dancing all night long!
*Custodial staff for setting up the event, and helping us clean up after!
*To our sponsors who help support events like these financially and also show up, we always love having you!
*And the biggest thank you to our FES kids and families for displaying their beautiful cultures!
