MAP TESTING
MAP TESTING
We will administer the MAP growth assessment from December 2-4th.
MAP is administered three times a year- in fall, winter, and spring.
MAP Growth is grade independent, which means teachers and parents can see where a child is performing relative to grade level – not merely if they are at grade level or not.
MAP Growth takes less than an hour to complete – but is not timed. Students can take as much time as needed.
The MAP schedule is as follows:
- December 2nd-Math Map Test
- December 3rd: Reading MAP Test
- December 4th: SCIENCE MAP (5th Grade Only!)
Please ensure your learner brings their Chromebook fully charged every day that week.
The following provides additional information to parents to support your learner before and after the MAP Growth test:

Students who show growth on MAP will have a celebration party on Friday!

The new guidelines are designed to limit distractions and learning disruptions. This policy will continue to be enforced for the 24-25 school year. Should you need to communicate with your student, please contact the school at (817) 299-3560. Volunteer Background Check
CTIS Families,
In our continuous efforts to keep all children safe, MISD requires that all volunteers that will be working with students complete a background check. This includes parents volunteering on campus or field trips. In order to chaperone on any field trip, you must submit a background check application and we must receive approval before the field trip.
If possible, please submit your application as soon as possible to allow time for it to be processed and for us to receive your approval. The application process is free to you and only takes about three minutes to complete. Click the button below to complete the application. Just chose the link for Cross Timbers Intermediate.
Please do not hesitate to contact the front office if you have any questions.
