November
Happy November Bryant families,
Thank you for sharing your child/children with us!
Our K-5 students have started “WIN” groups in math and English Language Arts (ELA). WIN stands for What I Need. Students are grouped according to the skills they need more practice with. For example, your child might be in a WIN group whose skill focus is decoding CVC (consonant vowel consonant) words. Ask your child what they are learning in their WIN groups.
We have set a building-wide attendance goal. When students miss school, they miss out on important experiences, opportunities, and learning of specific skills. Often students who miss quite a bit of school experience an elevated level of stress and/or anxiety. It can be overwhelming to catch up on missed skills. We start our learning as soon as students enter the building; every minute counts. Please help us by having your child/children here at school on time, and not picking your child up early. We are so very appreciative of your support.
Save -the-dates:
November 14 from 3:30- 4:30 we are going to host a pie event for families. All are invited. More details to come.
November 14 from 5:45- 6:45 Bryant Alliance meets in the HUB. Bryant Alliance fundraises for our school community and hosts community events. We would love to have more engagement from our Bryant community. All are welcome to attend.
Friday, November 15- Rock Your Moccasins school-wide event in celebration of tribal diversity.
November 21 from 8:00- 8:45 you are invited to Coffee With the Principal (coffee will be provided) and learn all things Bryant. All are invited.
Thank you for sharing your child/ren with us. It’s evident our students have been working hard to follow school rules and expectations. Ask your child to share our Bryant universals. “I am a Bryant Panther, I strive to be safe, be responsible, be learner, at home, at school, and in my community. I strive to be at school on time every day.”
Wishing you all a wonderful November,
Mrs. Wilkins

Hello, Bryant Families! WOW - working here at Bryant continues to bring me such joy! It is such an honor getting to know your kiddos - what great kids they are!
Over the next few weeks, we will be addressing the topic of Bullying in our Social Skills classes. Bullying is a behavior that occurs when someone is REPEATEDLY being mean to someone else on PURPOSE. The person it is happening to hasn't been able to make it stop. It is unfair, and ONE-SIDED. Students are learning how to Recognize, Report, and Refuse bullying. They are also learning what it means to be a "Bystander" - and what a Bystander can / should do in these situations.
A reminder that Angel Fund is up and running and ends on November 22nd. If you have your application but have not yet shopped, please do so ASAP! There are still a few applications available in the office if you would like to apply. Students who qualify will be allowed to shop for up to $150 worth of school clothing at either T.J. Maxx, Old Navy, Target, or Walmart. Applications are available in the front office.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach me by phone at (406) 324-1195, or email cozburn@helenaschools.org.
Respectfully,
Colette Ozburn, School Counselor
